Heritage Keepers Programme
Overview

Preserving Culture Through Community Storytelling

Programme Overview

The Heritage Keepers Programme is a flagship initiative of So Tribal dedicated to documenting, preserving, and sharing the cultural knowledge of Kenya’s diverse communities.

The programme works directly with elders, cultural practitioners, historians, artists, and community leaders to record stories, traditions, customs, languages, songs, and indigenous knowledge that might otherwise be lost.

Our Mission

To ensure that future generations inherit not only the history of their communities but also the wisdom, values, and identity that define them.

Community Impact

Through partnerships with communities across Kenya, the Heritage Keepers Programme seeks to strengthen cultural identity, encourage intergenerational learning, and create opportunities for communities to celebrate their unique heritage.

Get Involved

We invite cultural leaders, researchers, educators, students, and community members to join us in preserving Kenya’s living heritage.

Every story matters. Every culture matters. Every voice deserves to be remembered.
